We are looking to recruit a Generic Assistant Practitioner - Rehabilitation to join the ICST team at Douglas House Cottage!
The Successful Candidate Will
- Work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
- Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
- Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.
- Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Qualifications And Experience
What we'll need you to bring
- HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
- Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
- Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA
- Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
- Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
- Basic assessment skills.
- Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
- Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
- Breadth of experience of therapy or rehabilitation / re-ablement in a health, education or social care environment.
