Your Role at Impact:

You will work with both the local finance team involved in the day-day core accounting functions within the business and the group Corporate Accounting team.Carrying out effective financial controls over the functions allocated, as well as the ability to adapt and implement change to the existing processes within the financial control environment. You will be expected to collaborate and support the group Corporate Accounting function, the FP&A function on an ad hoc basis, providing support to the technical accounting function and contribute to other finance maturity, and transformation initiatives, including systems. You will play a key-role in the month-end close and reporting process, contributing to ensuring that our reporting is timeously and accurately closed in line with the business objectives and group accounting policies. This incumbent/person is a fast learner, a self-starter and capable of producing work of a high quality without close supervision.

What You'll Do:
  • Under limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex accounting activities, with a specialised focus on global clearing house, intercompany and fx accounting.
  • Manage a team of 3, acting as first reviewer on the month end close procedures related to the areas of responsibility within the team ensuring accurate and timely close each month.
  • Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed, reviewed and signed off each month.
  • Work closely with other business units and cross functional teams to implement new initiatives and projects
  • Provide support and assistance to the technical accounting department on an ad hoc basis.
  • Partner with the treasury team to ensure that fx risk is effectively mitigated through strategic analysis and decision making on our cross country transactions.
  • Monthly reporting to senior finance leadership on intercompany and fx
  • Optimize financial processes of cash matching and application, global clearing house accounting and intercompany accounting to automate the processes, with the objective of improving the close timelines within these areas of responsibility.
  • Provide support to the auditors for both the group and statutory annual audits
What You Have:
  • 0-2 years of post articles experience
  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • Big Four audit firm experience as well as technology environment will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in an international group of companies is an advantage
  • Microsoft Office/Google Suite proficiency
  • Interest in working as part of an international team across time zones and regions
  • Experience in US GAAP advantageous
  • Previous experience in large volume intercompany and foreign exchange transactions is advantageous
