In-House Technical Recruiter (Defense/Aerospace)

Our Client is a South African Defence and Aerospace company that offers turnkey defence solutions in Air, Land and Sea systems. They are a key defence solution provider to over 56 countries worldwide. They value continuous improvement, development and revision,
making their company a dynamic and innovative force in the defence industry.

Job Type: Full Time | On-site
Salary: R20 000 Gross per month
Head Office: Cape Town, South Africa

Requirements
  • A degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Background in Aviation /Electronic/Defense/ Embedded Software/ Hardware/Firmware is advantageous
  • About 3-5 years experience in recruitment
  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in technical roles is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with HR Managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled; reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
  • Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Drafts recruitment advertisements; posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
  • Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
  • Connects qualified candidates with hiring managers.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Vets potential employees' credentials.
  • Provides advice to Senior Management regarding salary negotiations with final candidates.
  • Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
