A strong sales background is essential. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, coachable, and a natural networker. Potential clients include student residences, hostels, hospitality businesses, food manufacturers, mines, and any organization with on-site laundry operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all equipment sales in their area.
- Attend to all website enquiries and quoting on potential new business.
- Prospecting and developing new business.
- Identifying and calculating the correct equipment for our customers.
- Pre-installation and post installation site inspections.
- Preparing laundry layouts.
- Area visits on a regular basis to visit key clients and potential new clients.
- Weekly activity updates and monthly quote updates with the Sales Manager.
- Daily Salesforce (CRM) updates.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the equipment, industrial, or construction sectors.
- An understanding of general plumbing and electrical.
- A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Previous experience in B2B sales and relationship management.
- Basic understanding of the products being sold, which may include heavy machinery, equipment, and related tools.
- Familiarity with the technical aspects of the equipment, such as plumbing, electrical, or mechanical knowledge, is often beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present products effectively and interact with clients.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for candidates who have a relevant tertiary qualification in sales, marketing, or a technical field
- Basic Salary: R20, 000 per month
- Commission: 3% of sales done
