SUMMARY:

Mid Senior Support Technician (Onsite, Melrose Arch Johannesburg)

Our client, a leading Telco who offer managed-IT-Services, Cybersecurity, connectivity as well as cloud & infrastructure solutions. They are looking for a Mid to Senior Support Technician to assist their corporate client, based in Melrose Arch, where you will be providing hands-on support across servers, telephony, networks, and end-user devices.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain desktop images, servers, and associated equipment
• Support hosted telephony (3CX) and biometric access systems
• Assist users with desktops, mobiles, and peripherals (on-site & remote)
• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot hardware & software
• Maintain documentation, backups, and general IT administration
• Network and security support
• Server management and MS 365 support

Requirements:

• 5+ years IT support experience (remote/on-site, ideally with an MSP)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft OS & PC hardware
• Tertiary education/ Microsoft certification would be beneficial
• Experience with server management & Office 365
• Experience with hosted telephony (3CX advantageous)
• VMWare & Azure experience would be beneficial
• Proactive, hands-on, and client-focused
• Network (understanding of protocols, VPNs, VLANs and subnetting) and security support (firewall support)
• Valid drivers licence & own transport
