Role Purpose
To ensure availability of critical IT Systems and Services with a focus on Citrix and terminal services.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
To ensure problems are identified, resolved and managed in a timely manner so as not to impact business.
Be a technical/operational lead focusing on Citrix virtual apps and desktops (i.e., Netscaler, Microsoft terminal services, etc.)
Ensure operational/optimisation processes are recommended and implemented within a high-pressured environment; this includes analysis and reporting as well as customer liaison.
Assist with strategic planning, testing and implementation of enterprise IT technologies and solutions.
Operational Excellence: Implement PPPs to ensure compliance with IT best practises and Compliance with standards -ITIL, CoBit, ISO17799, 9000
The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have
Degree/Diploma in IT or related
Minimum 3-5 years of enterprise application support experience, i.e., Microsoft Terminal services, virtual desktop and Citrix
Microsoft certification (i.e., MCSE / MCITP) or Citrix certification
2 3 years ITIL framework experience
Core Competencies, Knowledge And Experience
In depth knowledge of Microsoft servers, desktop applications, systems management and automation across various IT architectures and platforms
Skills; Analytical, Problem solving, Leadership, Communication (verbal and written); co-ordination; interpersonal skills and Decision Making.
