IT Technician

Job Brief

We are on the lookout for a Mid-Level IT Technician to join our team in the Western Cape. If you are passionate about technology, love solving problems, and thrive in an energetic and fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

As an IT Technician, you will be at the heart of our operations and based in the location, ensuring that all clients experience seamless connectivity, easy printing, access control and AV, and top-notch support. Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar IT Technician role, ideally within a corporate, hospitality, or co-working environment.

Required Skills
  • Networking: Basic proficiency in TCP/IP networking, including configuring routers, switches, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Operating Systems: Working knowledge of the OS of Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Linux experience is a plus.
  • Hardware & Maintenance: Basic troubleshooting and repair of laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Structured Cabling: Experience with data and AV cabling, including pulling, crimping, terminating, and testing (Cat6, PoE, HDMI).
  • Troubleshooting: Strong logical and rapid diagnostic skills across networking, hardware, and software.
  • Printer Management: Experience managing and troubleshooting networked printers, including coordination with vendors for remote support. Papercut experience is a plus.
  • Remote Support: Ability to assist members with technical issues via AnyDesk or similar, ensuring a seamless IT experience.
  • Access Control: Experience with access control systems, including configuration and troubleshooting of maglocks, PSU and controllers. Experience with SaltoKS is a plus.
  • Ticketing System Management: Use and manage IT support requests efficiently, ensuring timely resolution. Zoho Desk experience is a plus.
  • SLA Compliance: Respond to tickets promptly with a maximum 1-day SLA and aim to close urgent tickets within 2 hours.
  • Wifi and AP management
  • Wifi AP and Controller experience: Must have experience using an advanced Wifi controller to manage and troubleshoot Wifi issues.
Preferred Skills
  • UniFi Systems: Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti/Unifi stacks (UDM, APs, switches, VLANs, and network security policies).
  • Crestron & AV Systems: Experience in setting up, managing, and maintaining Crestron systems for AV and automation.
  • WiFi Spectrum Planning: Ability to assist with WiFi spectrum planning (training available if required).
  • Audio-Visual Expertise: Working knowledge of AV and audio systems, ideally Crestron and Shure.
  • ERP: Experience with Zoho One, including Cliq and Desk, but ideally with general Zoho experience, including Creator.
  • Work Collaboration Tools: Experience working with Google Workspace both as a user and as an administrator.
