Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Installation Electrician, based in Cape Town. The Installation Electrician will be responsible for inspecting, testing and certifying electrical installation carried out by the company.
They will also be required to install and repair electrical systems in a variety of settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Other key responsibilities include interpreting electrical, architectual and design drawings, technical diagrams, and ensuring all work complies with safety and industry regulations. The role may also involve collaborating with team members, clients, and other contractors to deliver high-quality electrical services aligned with company standards and timelines.
Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate
- Minimum N3 Electrical Certificate
- Red Seal Trade Test Certificate
- Installation Rules P1 and P2
- Unit Standards in inspection, testing and certifying of electrical installations.
- Yellow Wiremans License Card
- Code 8 Drivers License
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical construction drawings, technical diagrams, and schematics
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations in the electrical construction industry
- Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and addressing electrical issues effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Prior experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects is advantageous
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including manual labor and working in various environments
