Internal Communications Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Internal Communications Intern to join our Marketing team in Johannesburg. This role is perfect for a recent graduate passionate about storytelling, organizational culture, and creating meaningful connections within the workplace. Youll play a key role in crafting engaging content, supporting internal campaigns, and ensuring our team stays informed and inspired.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing compelling internal communication materials (newsletters, announcements, campaigns).
  
• Collaborate with teams to align messaging with Edge Growths values and strategy.
  
• Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives and events.
  
• Utilize digital channels (email, SharePoint, WhatsApp) to distribute content and track engagement.
  
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance communication strategies and improve employee experience.
  
• Conduct research on best practices in internal communications and recommend improvements.
  

Requirements

• South African citizen
  
• A recent graduate with a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
  
• Creativity and a knack for crafting engaging, culturally relevant content.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital communication tools.
  
• Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
  
• Passion for storytelling, employee engagement, and fostering an inclusive workplace.
  
• Prior experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role (even as a volunteer or student).
  
• Understanding of the South African business and cultural landscape.
