Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail operations, stocking, inventory management, and a comprehensive understanding of the eCommerce landscape. This position requires someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Implement efficient inventory control procedures.

Retail Understanding:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of retail operations.
• Stay informed about industry trends and market demands.
• Collaborate with the retail team to optimize inventory levels.

Stocking:

• Oversee stocking procedures and coordinate restocking activities.
• Ensure shelves are well-maintained and products are organized.
• Implement strategies to improve stocking efficiency.

Purchase Planning:

• Analyze sales trends and customer demand to determine what needs to be purchased.
• Work closely with the purchasing department to optimize inventory levels.
• Utilize data and analytics to make informed purchasing decisions.

eCommerce Backend Operations:

• Possess the ability to navigate and manage the backend of an eCommerce site.
• Familiarity with order processing, tracking, and fulfillment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues as needed.

Experience:

• Preferably, experience working for eCommerce giants like Takealot or Amazon.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and a track record of successful inventory management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in inventory management and retail operations.
• Familiarity with eCommerce backend systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
