What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll be handed a small portfolio of clients to manage and with that will come the responsibility of growing the portfolio. You'll still do some fund manager research while offering your intermediaries differentiated products and funds backed by a solid performance record.
Where you'll be doing it
You'll be joining a small asset manager with R10 billion AUM and still growing. They are a top performing asset manager based in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. What makes them unique is that they follow a thematic approach with a valuation underpinning. They are also big into the alternative space and expressing their views through these types of instruments.
What you'll need
A completed investment related degree is essential along with a solid 2 years' experience in investments where you have either dealt with an IFA network selling investment solutions or you've gained experience as a Performance Analyst doing fund manager research. To effectively service clients you need to be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
