Freelance Editor for Distance Learning Material (Remote or support office based)

The purpose of this position is to proofread and edit digital content for a variety of online training programs in both the creative and hospitality industry. The editor will ensure the content meets style and language guidelines as well as academic referencing requirements.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Tertiary qualification
• Experience working with educational/ academic content
• Experience working with educational technology and LMS systems and similarity detecting (plagiarism) tools
• Knowledge of curriculum design beneficial
• Knowledge of Harvard/APA referencing style beneficial
• At least 3 years editing and/or proofreading experience

Essential Skills

• Proficient in English and robust knowledge of grammar and syntax
• Eye for detail and ability to improve the flow of text
• Understanding of assessment styles and structures
• Strong computer literacy
