Your Responsibilities
- Take and execute instructions provided by attorneys and the head of paralegals
- Assist with standard office administration
- Open and manage files
- Create and send invoices to clients
- Collate documents for lodgement at the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission
- Attend to Patent office deliveries
- Collate letters patent documents
- Attend to annuity and renewal payments
- Report to client on the issuance of processed documents, acceptance, grant and of registration certificates
- Following up with the patent office on outstanding documents.
- Perform data checks
- Matric certificate-paralegal training completed or underway would be an advantage of paralegals
- Excellent computer literacy including outlook, MS word and MS excel
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track deadlines
- Good soft skills, including good communication and attention to details
- A proactive attitude
- Service oriented towards our clients and colleagues
- The ability to follow a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and to suggest improvements and participate in the streamlining of the operational processes
- Fluent command of English, any additional language is considered as an asset
