IT Operational Support Technician

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for the site-specific implementation, operation, monitoring and support of the companys OT infrastructure and applications at the site. This position is also responsible for implementing OT standards, planning, justifying, and executing site projects and coordinating compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

• Coordinates and supervises OT related projects and activities at the site and collaborate with technical teams and external partners to meet core business goals and objectives.
• Collaborates and effectively communicates with operations management, in- and external partners, IT Infrastructure services teams and OT regional coordinator.
• Implement controls to monitor, measure compliance, and increase the maturity of systems, controls, and applications for OT, ensuring continued compliance through regular reviews and testing. Assumes total ownership of all OT controls at the site.
• Maintain knowledge on OT systems and understanding of compliance requirements for plant and laboratory operations. Implement IT Security awareness, training and knowledge sharing.
• Manages vendor and contract relationships related to OT, ensuring the company receives maximum benefit and value and assisting in departmental management budget development and monitoring for expense and capital cost control.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities for OT systems and ensures company policies and procedures are followed.
• Execute and implement information security guidelines and concepts to ensure secure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Responsible for the operability, security and integrity of manufacturing and quality OT assets, including incidents management in collaboration with global support teams.
• Ensure that required OT status and progress reports are created in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures the recoverability of OT systems in the event of disaster or discontinuation of technical services.

Qualifications, Skills And Competencies

• Diploma or Btech degree in a technology-related field or comparable work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• ITIL Foundation certified is preferred.
• Familiar with manufacturing operations management systems. (Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Manufacturing Execution- and/or SCADA systems.)
• Experience in network engineering, systems management, information technology and network operations.
• Experience in developing / implementing information technology policies and procedures.
• Experience with contract and vendor negotiations.
• Automation and/or Manufacturing Operation Management or Industrial IT experience is preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information technology concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• High degree of initiative and dependability.
• Good level of English (C1 preferred)
