Airfreight Export Controller

Job Purpose:

Arranging airfreight export shipments, from Door to Door, Arrange collection from customers and delivery to airlines once customs cleared, Invoicing, Pre-alerts / status reports to customers and Company network, Customs export clearance.

Job Function:

Following departmental and/or client SOPs

Updating all system events and status

Keeping the company best interests in mind

Ensure cargo is handled according to regulations

Ensure cargo 108 procedure is followed

Book cargo, liaise with haulers and Airlines

Follow up on airfreight shipments including tracking of shipments

Reconciliation of the file. Invoicing needs to be done within KPI

Receivable reports / tracking updates daily and when required

Once shipment / file are complete all documents needs to be saved on system

Ensure any problems / issues are brought to the attention of the Airfreight Supervisor / Airfreight Manager

Any other task requested by direct supervisor / manager be completed

Ensure all Commodities and cargo are handled within the regulations

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Matric

3 5 years experience in Airfreight Exports controlling, gained within a clearing and forwarding environment
