Our client is looking for a Junior Auto Technician from South Africa for a 1 Year Contract position in Ireland.

Job Summary

As a Junior Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our experienced

technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. This position

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Inspections: Assist in performing thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues, mechanical problems, and safety concerns.
• Routine Maintenance: Learn to perform routine automotive services such as oil

changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

• Diagnostic Assistance: Help senior technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle malfunctions using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and Service: Under supervision, participate in repairing and servicing various automotive components, including brakes, suspension systems, exhaust systems, and electrical systems.
• Part Orders: Collaborate with the team to ensure necessary parts and materials are ordered in a timely manner for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Quality Control: Assist in conducting quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standards and meet manufacturer specifications.
• Clean and Organize: Keep the workshop area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards to create a safe and efficient work environment.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain a positive and professional demeanour when interacting with customers, providing them with helpful information and assistance as needed.
• Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends to enhance knowledge and skillset continuously.
• Working knowledge of auto data systems.

Requirements

• Relevant Experience: 12 months qualified main dealer/ franchise experience.
• Technical Skills: Understanding of automotive systems and components. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment is beneficial.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong interest and passion for automobiles with a desire to

pursue a career in the automotive industry.

• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, taking direction from

senior technicians, and supporting team members as needed.

• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately to ensure precise and efficient work.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues

and customers professionally.
