Clinical Operations Manager - Renal Care

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and implementing clinical operations function within Client dialysis units in line with company strategic objectives of growth, quality treatment and people.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic direction & leadership to the dialysis centers within the area of responsibility.
  • Oversee & manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient & effective delivery of dialysis services.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify trends, & implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency & patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with unit managers to establish operational goals, action plans, and performance targets.
  • Lead, mentor, & develop a team of unit managers, nurses & support staff.
  • Provide guidance & support to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.
  • Develop training programs to enhance staff competencies and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the area of responsibility, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with finance and medical aid claims teams to ensure accurate billing, revenue collection, and timely financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth within the dialysis centers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, and funder organizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to enhance the reputation & market presence of the dialysis centers.
  • Continuously assess operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and standardize workflows across the dialysis centers.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to drive operational efficiency and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Relevant Business qualification
  • 5 years proven leadership and management experience (ideally within private healthcare)
  • Knowledge of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role-players including understanding of relevant legislation and regulations relating to healthcare industry.
  • Understanding of change management principles
  • Computer literacy
  • Drivers license
