Minimum of 8-10 years' progressive experience in contracts management specifically within the civil engineering and construction sectors.
- Demonstrable track record of managing complex contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JBCC) for large-scale civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, water/wastewater, earthworks, mining infrastructure).
- Proven experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution.
- Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience with tender processes, subcontractor management, and claims management.
- Familiarity with South African construction legal landscape and relevant industry standards (e.g., SANS, CIDB regulations).
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related Built Environment discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Construction Law, Commercial Law, or an MBA will be a distinct advantage.
- Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa), SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions), is highly desirable.
