Job description

FPM Primary Production, based in Brackenfell, has the above opportunity available for a motivated & experienced salesperson with excellent communication & influencing skills, & an established contacts base & sales network in South Africa & other emerging African markets.

The successful incumbent will be required to call on existing customers to secure repeat & new business, maintain & build on relationships & to identify new business opportunities in the wine, beverage & food industries primarily.

Duties & responsibilities include (but not limited to): *Planning & implementing effective sales strategies to secure business & achieve sales targets *Planning weekly sales activities, including prospecting activity, in accordance with set objectives *Analysing customer requirements to identify value add opportunities *Ensuring enquiry specifications are according to customer & company requirements *Presenting structured proposals relating to customer requirements *Establishing excellent professional business relationships with customers *Establishing excellent working relationships within all relevant departments of the company *Adhering to company business & trading policies *Reporting on sales activities & provide relevant operational & market information as required.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
Matric;
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous;
A minimum of 5 years experience in the Process and or Packaging Machinery sales environment;
Previous experience in selling of technical Processing, Packaging Machinery & Capital Equipment at senior level is essential;
Knowledge of the wine making process will be advantageous;
Excellent computer literacy (MS Office & Teams), & a high level of numerical literacy.

The position involves regular travelling, both locally and nationally, with the possibility of occasional international travel.
