Senior Financial Manager

Makosi is partnering with a mining client on the appointment of a Seasoned Financial Manager to play a key role in modernising and digitising the finance function. This is a high-impact contract opportunity suited to a mature finance professional with strong mining experience and a proven track record in process improvement and ERP implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the digitalisation of manual finance and accounting processes, transitioning the function into a more automated, efficient environment
• Drive ERP implementation and optimisation, supporting system adoption across the finance team
• Review and redesign finance processes to improve controls, accuracy, and reporting
• Provide strong financial leadership within a collaborative team environment
• Manage and mentor team members, ensuring delivery in a deadline-driven and operationally complex setting
• Act as a key finance partner to stakeholders, including navigating challenging customer and operational dynamics

Requirements

• Extensive mining industry experience (essential)
• Proven experience in ERP implementations and finance process improvement
• Exposure to Oracle or similar ERP systems (exact system not critical)
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
• Mature, resilient professional able to operate in complex stakeholder environments
• CA(SA) preferred; other relevant professional accounting designations will be considered
