Group Financial Manager

Our client is looking for a Group Financial Manager. As a Group Financial Manager for you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of the company, providing strategic financial guidance, and optimizing financial processes. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to achieve financial goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage financial budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against targets and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain financial records and ledgers.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and policies.
  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external auditors.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide financial guidance to support the company's objective.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify financial challenges and develop creative solutions.
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools, including ERP systems and financial modeling software.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MFin) is a plus.
  • Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience in team leadership and management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
