HEALTH & SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR - WAREHOUSE DEPARTMENT - GAUTENG

Diplomat South Africa is recruiting for the role of Health & Safety Administrator within the Warehouse Department, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This role will be reporting into the Health & Safety Officer.

Job Purpose

To administer all the HSE related documentation, the accurate record keeping and administrative maintenance.

Critical to this role is the administrative support it provides to the Health & Safety Officer. This enables professional delivery and contributes to Health & Safety being a value add partner in the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute activities related to safety admin in a cost effective manner.
  • Contribute to the cost saving targets of the company.
  • Follow up on all inspection sheets and engage with warehose to close out job cards.
  • Maintain an effective filing system for all documentation.
  • Fulfil the personal assistant role for the Health & Safety Officer.
  • Consolidate all SHE representative reports for submission into the monthly report.
  • Monitor compliance to the HSE systems and ensure completion of related documents.
  • Track the maintenance plan and report deviations timeously.
  • Capture all accident reports and follow up to ensure close out.
  • Coordinate training sessions to ensure safety training is conducted as per legal requirements.
  • Maintain training registers.
  • Assist with the compilation and submission of monthly report.
  • Compliance with Good Warehouse Practices and quality management.
  • Adhere to company's Health and Safety rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of latest developments in HSE through self-study.
  • Take responsibility for self-development through self-study, identification of learning opportunities.
Position Requirements:
  • Completed Matric or equivalent, accredited by SAQA.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in similar position preferably from FMCG Industry.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
