Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering relationships with our dealer network to drive growth in short-term insurance sales while representing the Absa Insurance brand. We require a candidate with a minimum of three years' experience in a sales or business development role within a dealership setting. A solid comprehension of financial services products within the automotive industry is a must-have.

Job Description

The role involves managing relationships with dealership stakeholders to grow short-term insurance sales and act as an ambassador for the Absa Insurance brand. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales/business development role with dealerships and a strong understanding of financial services products in the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining professional relationships with dealership stakeholders through networking.
  • Business Development: Identifying new opportunities to grow short-term insurance sales in line with the Absa Business unit strategy. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals for the region.
  • Sales Management: Monitor and analyse sales metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer and dealer satisfaction
  • Market Intelligence: Gathering market intelligence through research to stay up to date with market developments.
  • People Management: Coaching, training, and supporting F&I Managers at dealerships.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant knowledge, legislation, and developments within the business unit and banking industry that may impact the business.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a sales manager or in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field
Education

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
