- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs as per OEM requirements.
- Systematic and efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose machine systems problems and carry out repairs on earthmoving equipment on customer sites.
- Compile accurate customer machine reports that include failure analysis, condition, service, Machine Inspection Reports (MIRs) and Technical Analysis reports (TAs).
- Maintain professional image when representing BWE.
- Work on specific customer sites as per customer requirements (Man on Hire) when required.
- Ensure complying to safe work practices when working on machines.
- Maintain and control Contamination Control Standards.
- Responsible and Control of own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained (ISO standards)
- Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3
- Minimum 7 years post qualification experience on earthmoving machines (Minimum 5 years Caterpillar experience)
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
Good technical report writing
Good Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge, Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Applicable fundamental product knowledge (Caterpillar).
