Senior Accountant

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable company in the manufacturing and steel industry, for a highly skilled Senior Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic group and play a pivotal role in their financial operations and strategic growth. This role will manage the end-to-end financial operations of the company, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the overall financial health and sustainability of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting function and financial reporting processes.
• Supervise daily accounts activities and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal use and external stakeholders.
• Manage working capital requirements and engage with local and international banks.
• Coordinate the preparation of documents for funding and trade finance.
• Provide financial input into business plans and feasibility studies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Manage and mentor a small finance team to ensure effective delivery and growth

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 8 years relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Experience dealing with banks, trade finance, and foreign exchange (forex).
• Proven experience preparing financials for local and international use.
• BCom Accounting, completed CIMA or SAIPA/Professional Accountant qualification
