Senior database developer [Hybrid] [Bryanston]

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL databases tailored to meet the specific needs of the automotive industry.
• Create and optimize advanced SQL queries for efficient data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
• Lead database architecture and modeling efforts to ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS for seamless data integration across various systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database functionality into software applications within the automotive ecosystem.
• Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor and fine-tune database performance through query optimization, index tuning, and configuration adjustments.
• Generate reports and provide data analysis support for business intelligence purposes, with a strong emphasis on Power BI utilization.
• Lead data migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transition and data integrity across different database environments.
• Create and manage stored procedures, functions, and triggers for efficient data processing and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer in a relevant industry, with a strong focus on data management.
• Proficient in SQL query writing, database design, and data modeling.
• Expertise in SSIS for ETL processes, with a demonstrated track record of successful implementations.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI for advanced reporting and data visualization (Advantageous).
• Experience in database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
