Assistant Warehouse Manager

Decofurn is a furniture retailer with 11 stores nationwide. Our unique warehouse/factory shop concept has been developed with over 32 years of experience in the furniture industry. Our Group is a leading importer, manufacturer, and retailer of furniture and related products.

We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team in Centurion.

The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the daily warehouse operations, ensuring stock is stored, managed, and dispatched efficiently, safely, and accurately. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong operational, administrative, and people-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enforce health, safety, and compliance standards
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock counts, audits, and reconciliations
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time deliveries
• Oversee warehouse housekeeping and equipment maintenance
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff
• Monitor performance and support disciplinary processes when required

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years management experience
• Minimum 5 years retail / receiving / warehouse experience
• Strong administration and report-writing skills
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience
• Furniture industry experience Advantageous
• Multilingual ability Advantageous
• Sales environment experience (3+ years) Highly advantageous
