We have a job vacancy for experienced Financial Controller to work at Umpisi Group. You will have to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL & Counsel, Cost Accounting, payroll, purchases, bank reconciliations and Revenue Recognition;
- Coordinate & direct the preparation of the budget & financial forecasts and report variances;
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements;
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, incl. liaising with external accountants;
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
- Support month-end and year-end close process;
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings;
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
- Negotiating lines of credit and vendor agreements, as well as reviewing all financial contracts, financing agreements and insurance policies;
- To provide accurate and comprehensive financial information to executive management for long-term financial strategizing.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Controller;
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience;
- A 3-year relevant qualification with experience will secure;
- Proficiency in spreadsheet design;
- No credit or criminal record;
- Be skilled at in-depth financial analysis and providing expert financial perspective and opinions;
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
- Experience with creating financial statements;
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process;
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
