Accountant
A new South African Start-up is seeking to partner with emerging, currently unemployed female accountant. Individual will be co-managing the new enterprise’s financial department with coordinates to the South African tax laws and monetary policy. We are seeking a hardworking individual, with an exceptional attitude and skills to solve problems.
A strong individual, who can work under pressure and has an optimistic attitude. Individual will be required to work on a volunteering basis for 1 singe month (30 days), depending on performance; will receive a full employment package.
Duties
Managing daily, weekly and monthly financial activity
Creating spreadsheets and tabling budgets
Compiling research and analytic data
Calculating business ledger and forecasts
Conducting End of day reports
Compiling ledgers, documenting all records securely
Calculating tax on products and services
Responsibilities
Ensuring financial compliance according to South African standards
Ensuring transparency
Monitoring transactions and expenses
Ensuring good business practice
Operating financial system
Risk management and procedural reforms
Ensuring tax compliance targets are met
Requirements
Degree in Accounting or financial accounting. Equivalent is welcome.
At least 6 months’ work experience in any customer-related employment
Advanced skills in stats and calculation
Tax knowledge
An individual willing to volunteer 1 full month (30 days)
Fluent in English
Must have access to Microsoft Word, Excel & email
Able to travel in Durban CBD, Umhlanga & Musgrave area
