Job Requirements:
Education:
Grade 12 and BCom Degree / National Diploma in Accounting or Financial Management
Experience:
Minimum of 12 years experience in an accounting or finance environment
Skills:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computing skills, particularly MS Excel
- Working knowledge of Pastel or similar accounting systems
- Basic understanding of VAT and financial controls
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Professional, ethical, and reliable
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate capturing in the accounting system
- Perform bank, creditor, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Support audit preparation and respond to audit queries
- Assist with VAT calculations and submissions under supervision
- Monitor and reconcile expense accounts
- Assist with fixed asset registers and depreciation calculations
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers regarding financial queries
- Perform general finance and accounting administrative duties
