Junior Accountant

Location: JHB or CPT

Reports to: Financial Controller

To support the finance team in executing standard accounting activities and ensuring accuracy in financial records and reporting in line with company policies.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and timely outputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare statutory reports and assist with compliance tasks.
• Collaborate with other finance team members to meet reporting deadlines.
• Support the audit process through provision of requested documentation and information.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal controls.
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 12 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level roles considered).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Proficient in Excel and exposure to ERP systems is a plus.
