You will support core accounting processes across the group, contribute to accurate financial records, and gain hands-on exposure to month-end, statutory compliance, and financial controls. The role offers meaningful responsibility, clear expectations, and room to grow.
Your Role
You will work directly with the CFO and finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and developing confidence across core finance functions. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who values accuracy, organisation, and steady progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full debtor cycle, including invoice preparation, statements, credit notes, and query resolution
- Assist with VAT reconciliations and revenue account maintenance in Xero
- Maintain daily cashbooks and perform regular reconciliations
- Update and manage the fixed asset register
- Assist with VAT returns, EMP201 submissions, and statutory documentation
- Support month-end close processes and audit preparation
- Assist with budgeting support and financial reporting tasks
- Minimum: BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Approximately three years accounting experience in a structured finance environment
- Working knowledge of Xero (Pastel advantageous)
- Confident Excel skills
- Understanding of VAT, general ledger processes, and South African tax compliance
- Highly detail-oriented and dependable
