Junior Channel Marketing Specialist

Role Overview
ASUS South Africa is seeking a Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for the execution and monitoring of channel marketing initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate completion of sales-related marketing tasks, effective event management, and maintaining strong brand presence and compliance across various retail and e-tail channels. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to overall sales objectives through diligent reporting and strategic channel activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales-Related Marketing Operations:
  • Oversee the timely application and closure of XPOR processes. (Internal Systems)
  • Manage and ensure budget reservations are applied accurately and on schedule.
  • Facilitate the timely closure of all RMA funds.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Sell Out/Sell Through reports to relevant stakeholders.
  1. Event and Channel Marketing Management:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, including participation logistics, set-up, and production of print materials.
  • Manage and track the distribution and inventory of promotional giveaways.
  • Monitor and optimize "Share of Shelf" for company SKUs on major e-tailer platforms (e.g. Takealot, Wootware), ensuring prominent visibility.
  • Ensure high POSM (Point of Sale Material) accuracy, verifying that stores are fully compliant with CRM guidelines and updated campaign requirements.
  • Drive the onboarding rate for retail staff onto the ASUS University platform, encouraging active participation and usage.
  1. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate and submit weekly merchandiser reports detailing activities and observations at key retailers.
  • Conduct bi-weekly in-store competitor analysis, providing insights into market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of MKT KPI reports and Sales KPI reports.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably within a channel or retail marketing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail for accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting sales data and competitor insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners (retailers, etailers).
  • Proficiency in relevant reporting and office software.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results driven.
