Summit 7 Marketing is a dynamic Marketing Agency dedicated to creating visually stunning and highly functional websites for our clients. In addition, we provide monthly marketing packages and support to elevate their marketing efforts and generate new business leads and awareness for current and potential customers.
The Role
Due to strong growth, we are seeking a proactive and creative Junior Content & Social Media Specialist to join our established team.
What you can expect: You will manage content for up to 10 client accounts, producing an average of up to 5 scheduled posts daily across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok/Reels), plus 13 email campaigns per client monthly. This is a crucial, hands-on role responsible for generating high-quality, on-brand content across social media and email platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, proficient in basic design, and has a foundational understanding of content optimisation.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
1 - Content Generation & Execution (Core Duty)
- Generate daily content (copy and visuals) for client social media channels in line with the approved content calendar and brand guidelines.
- Develop and draft compelling email marketing copy for newsletters, promotional campaigns, and automated customer journeys.
- Work with account managers to ensure content aligns with client marketing goals and campaigns.
- Create engaging visual assets which can include graphics, carousels, stories, short-form Reels/TikToks (1530s) using Canva templates.
- Ensure all visual content adheres to client brand identity (fonts, colours, logos).
- Source and edit relevant stock photography/videography when client assets are unavailable.
- Apply best practices for SEO by incorporating keywords, meta descriptions, and relevant link structures into email and web-based social media content.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
- Assist in compiling monthly content performance reports, offering basic insights on what content worked well.
- As a small marketing agency, you will be expected to assist with other tasks from time to time to ensure we deliver the expected services and results to our valued clients, e.g. when another team member is on leave or off sick. (of course, your team members will do the same for you during your absence!)
- 13 years of professional experience in content creation, social media management, or a similar digital marketing role.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to adapt tone and style for different brands.
- High proficiency in Canva for graphic design and light video editing. (Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, but not essential at this salary level.)
- Solid working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and how to apply them to content.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Zoho Social, Meta Business Suite).
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and excellent time management skills.
