We are a technology focused business based in Durban and are in search of a junior electronic engineer (software developer) with some programming experience as we are embarking on a project using RFID Technology.
Job requirements:
- The successful incumbent will be responsible for research and software development using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
- The individual will need to understand basic circuitry and electronic components are be competent in at least 1 of the following programming languages
- Electronic Engineering Qualification (or related Bsc Degree IT)
- Must have experience in programming for mobile applications (Android / Apple IOS)
- C#
- .Net
- Java / JQuery
- SQL Databases
- Software development in the mobile and desktop environment for the RFID field including architectural layout, coding, testing and documentation of all software development
- Assist with the writing of specification documentation
- Work together with other development staff to deliver software requirements
- Keep abreast of software trends and ways to improve efficiency
- To deliver code which is well tested and consistently error free
- Show growth within a reasonable amount of time
- Experience with Automated Item Identification Technologies including barcoding and RFID
- High command of verbal and written English language
- Fast learner and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and designs
- Self-motivated, team player, actions and result orientated
- Well organized, good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work under tight project deadlines
