Laboratory Intern

Research, develop and review alternative products and processes
Conduct tests and analyses of alternative products and processes and make suitable recommendations
Identify non-conformances and take corrective actions
Take representative samples in manufacturing process lines
Execute sampling of bituminous binder material for testing
Determine the pH of liquids by means of a pH meter
Execute laboratory testing pertaining to bituminous: binders, residues, coagulation, sedimentation
Capture and verify analytical results
Compile certificates of analysis
Store samples for record keeping purposes
Reconcile bitumen usage (theoretical vs. actual)
Maintain housekeeping standards in the laboratory
Maintain and update the laboratory asset register and laboratory equipment calibrations
Maintain laboratory consumable stock levels
Compile laboratory reports
