Laboratory Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician at I&J, Woodstock in the Quality Assurance Department. The purpose of this role is to perform routine microbiological analysis as required.

Job Specification

Key Performance Areas:

• Microbiological sample analysis
• Maintenance of documentation (ISO 17025)
• Internal client liaison for I&J
• Validations
• Media quality and Environmental control
• Maintenance
• Assist and adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
• Responsible for general house-keeping the laboratory

Experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed Degree with minimum 1 years experience in a Microbiology laboratory or an Honours Degree
• Completed Honours Degree advantageous

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Microbiology or Medical Microbiology BSc / BTech or Food Science

• Exposure to ISO 17025
