Job Title: Meter Repair Operator

Superior: Meter Repair Technical Supervisor

Mission of Function: Repairs of production failures on production lines.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

• Responsible for Troubleshooting and root cause identification on production electronic devices
• Responsible for repairs of production failures on sub-assembly at component level
• Working timeously on failures to supporting production
• Timely reporting of suspected multiple failure problems
• Maintain document files related to PCBs and departmental requirements
• Compiling additional repair information to specific problems
• Capturing of repair data for statistical feedback.
• Collaboration with other departments/ECMs for data and information on failures
• Conducting tests and checks when required
• Adhere to companies' IMS processes as well as SHEQ policies and procedures
• Assisting with Lean management Processes and procedures
• Must understand ESD procedures and be able to handle ESD-sensitive devices.

Skills/Attributes:

• Tool operating knowledge i.e., Oscilloscope, Multimeter, AC & DC power supplies.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronics.
• Good soldering and de-soldering skills, including surface mount components.

Additional Requirements / Age:

• Preferred qualification: N6 electronics
