Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of insulation, scaffolding and painting services.
Job Description
The Technical Skills Lead will be responsible for:
- Conduct individual and team and subcontractor skills gap analysis and maintain broad database on skills and competence of employees and candidate employees.
- From time-to-time audit contract technical service delivery with respect to industry standards and best practice to assure most reliable and efficient services possible.
- Develop technical training courses for all levels, applying relevant laws/regulations/standards, if applicable
- Develop course materials and assessment tools according to Company requirements
- Deliver theoretical and practical training, and on-site mentoring
- Assess competency for new recruits/recruitment drives
- The Technical Skills Lead should hold a Matric
- Successfully completed Train the Trainer, Assessor and Moderator Courses
- Additional certification in training is a plus
- Proven work experience as a Technical Training Manager, Technical Trainer or similar role
- Experience in developing technical course content for all levels in fields of Insulation, scaffolding, surface protection, and other services
- Have in-depth knowledge of insulation, scaffolding and surface protection
- Maintain Up to date knowledge of all company rules, procedures, and industry technical standards field of work
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms using simple language
- Must be assertive, well presented, demonstrate leadership qualities and be able to communicate well in English.
- Additional African language would be advantageous.
