Legal Manager - Centurion, Gauteng Are you a skilled Legal Professional within the Automotive Sector?

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Manager to join their team and contribute to the success of their thriving business.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory:

• Provide accurate and timely legal advice on all matters affecting the business.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal opinions, and assess legal and reputational risks.

Contract Management:

• Negotiate, draft, and review various commercial contracts.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of legal templates. Implement a contract management program.

Compliance and Dispute Resolution:

• Supervise all MIOSA complaints, compile statistics, and draft responses.
• Proactively engage with case managers at MIOSA, the NCC, the CCMA, and MIBCO.
• Supervise letters of demand and responses, monitor external legal spend.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Keep abreast of relevant legislation in the automotive and related industries.
• Support the FIC compliance team, formulate and implement policies.

HR and Disciplinary Matters:

• Assist with the formulation of charges in disciplinary matters.
• Provide training to internal chairpersons of disciplinary hearings.
• Attend conciliation, con-arb, and arbitration hearings at MIBCO or the CCMA.

Company Secretarial Work:

• Assist with company secretarial tasks, board reporting, and presentations.

Requirements:

• Suitable candidate must have a recognized legal qualification.
• Be an Admitted Attorney.
• 5 years Post qualification experience, with at least 1 year in-house legal experience.
