LOGISTICS & EXECUTION SPECIALIST
Responsibilities
- Drive the optimization of animal nutrition logistics and contract execution capabilities, ensuring seamless supply chain operations while fostering strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage a commercial administration team responsible for processing purchase orders and invoicing for both finished goods and commodity supplies.
- Administer and execute contractual agreements provided by Trading or Procurement departments related to various agricultural outbound commodity products, ensuring adherence to contract compliance standards.
- Ensure compliance with legal and business obligations and monitor adherence to relevant regulations.
- Ensure streamlined invoicing processes, timely payments, and proper management of cross-border transactions.
- Facilitate accurate and timely exchange of information and reporting to internal parties (e.g., trading, finance departments, other ADM facilities) and external parties (e.g., counterparties, shipping companies, terminals) to meet operational mandates.
- Conduct capacity planning for bulk terminal operations and coordinate external terminal scheduling and management.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members to ensure end-to-end execution of commercial administration and logistics processes.
- Maintain oversight of planned versus actual product flow metrics.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for various internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align operational activities and strategic objectives.
- Guarantee accurate settlement processes with buyers, suppliers, and transporters, including demurrage, dispatch, and final invoice reconciliation.
- Lead in the field of commodity logistics, overseeing the execution of contracts and the transportation of finished goods into African markets.
- Lead and coordinate various process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar environment.
- Hold a relevant degree in Supply Chain Management or International Trade.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Available for on-call duties.
- Have a solid understanding of administrative and logistical processes, as well as commodity products.
- Exhibit familiarity with internal procedures, documentation, contracts, and contractual positions.
- Display strong teamwork abilities, a hands-on approach, and a proactive stance in supporting colleagues as needed.
- Show initiative, innovative thinking, and the ability to identify potential issues, addressing them constructively.
- Possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Be proactive and resilient under stress.
- Capable of establishing and managing priorities effectively.
