National Project Manager - Electrical

Our client, a leading electrical services company, specializing in the electrical projects and maintenance fields, specifically in the petro-chem maintenance and construction, seeks to employ a qualified and suitable candidate for their operation in East Rand, Johannesburg.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS NOT A MANUFACTURING OR HEAVY CURRENT ELECTRIFICATION ROLE BUT RATHER REQUIRES A CANDIDATE WITH A STRONG BACKGROUND IN CONSTRUCTION ELECTRICAL BIDDING/TENDERS, PLANNING, CONTRACT MANAGEMENT, STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT, TEAM MANAGEMENT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT.

Key Requirements To Meet For Consideration

You will have completed a tertiary qualification in either a technical or business fields, coupled with 8-10 years' experience in project management and commercial aspects within an electrical contracting sector, specifically managing bidding, tender compilation, electrical contract management and having a solid understanding of business and project cashflow.
You will have proven experience in managing a diverse team of staff to ensure projects meet deadlines, quality of workmanship according to SLA's, as well as playing a key role in client relationship management and in addressing any performance issues
You must have solid experience in NEC and JCBB contractual management as it is essential, as well as negotiating favourable terms, rates and conditions, aligning departments with contractual terms.
In addition, you will be proficient in managing budgets, as well as mitigating risk, building relationships with suppliers, ensuring best prices and quality materials and taking ownership of all staff related matters.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the electrical contractor or petro-chemical maintenance sector
