Manager Fitter & Turner

Key Responsibilities

Manage Manufacturing toolrooms for execution of turning work.
Oversee planning, scheduling and distribution of turning work.
Compile BOMs for ordering of material and equipment.
Provide design review inputs for effecient turning activities.
Coordinate and allocate work to Turner machinists in accordance with directions on priority work.
Ensure work activities integration with other departments ie. Electrical, Boilmermaking.
Oversee the assembly of tooling wrt fabricated tooling.
Assist subordinates with training on lathe and milling machines operations.
Plan departmental budget for buying of spares and tools.
Provide work progress updates as prescribed to the departmental Executive Manager.
Ensure maintenance of machines and serviceability.
