Hotel Maintenance Foreman

A Luxury Hotel is looking for a reliable Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for identifying problems and necessary maintenance, ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities are in working condition. This person must ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and be able to assign tasks accordingly. Prior experience in a hospitality environment is required for this position will be a plus. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the company policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.

Main Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare daily, and weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
• Supervise and train maintenance technicians.
• Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.).
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
• Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
• Purchase and monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
• Participate in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations).
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Requirements And Skills

• Grade 12 & Technical qualification.
• Preferably 4 years of previous experience as a supervisor
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.).
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.
• Must be well-presented & enthusiastic.
