Yara Animal Nutrition's operations in South Africa include a raw materials processing plant and local head office in Umbogintwini near Durban, selling mineral feed supplements to feed producers and farmers across Southern Africa with sales to selected foreign countries.

Responsibilities
- Implement scheduled/planned maintenance on equipment. Ensure that all activities such as calibrations, inspections, testing, scheduled service visits, are all planned and scheduled
- Generate, co-ordinate, optimizes and follows up on maintenance tasks and job cards.
- Raise corrective maintenance work order to be done during planned maintenance windows
- Co-ordinate detailed plans ,using planning and prioritization skills and appropriate planning tools.
- Plan, allocate and record appropriate resources (labour/parts) to maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the development of maintenance procedures.
- Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database.
- Developing periodic trend analysis of breakdowns, rework, repeat repairs, machines that repeatedly breakdown. and expenditure
- Facilitate planning meetings.
- Producing daily, weekly, and monthly Asset Management reports.
- Work effectively alongside external contractors and engineering service providers.
- Permit to Work issuer.
- Participate in site audits, stock takes.
- Follow good safety practises and encourage safe working practises at all times and have a good understanding of the Health and Safety Act
- Participate in the processes to ensure compliance to legal statutory requirements
- High level of safety awareness
- Minimum Matric
- Relevant tertiary Engineering or Operations Qualifications Advantageous
- Pragma experience advantageous
- At least 4 years experience in planning
- Preferred experience in Manufacturing
- Computer Literate advanced MS Excel skills required
- Concern for order and forward planning
- Accuracy and attention to details
