Location: Matroosfontein, Cape Town
Position: Maintenance Worker/Driver
Overall Responsibility:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as repair of doors, locks, handles, windows; replace ceiling and carpet tiles; patching holes in walls; and general paint work. Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to carpentry, and general repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks in accordance to job cards (work orders) issued, as per Client and Company requirements
- Perform office movement related tasks, including but not limited to, installation of furniture; drywall; repair doors, locks, handles, windows; replace ceiling and carpet tiles; general paint work
- Conduct investigations, evaluation and restorations on identified equipment malfunction
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve maintenance issues.
- Able to work flexible hours
- Must be prepared to work on weekends and/or public holidays and/or after hours work if required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles, this includes Drywall installation, Partitioning,
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of maintenance issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks
- Must have a valid SA Drivers license
- And must stay in the surrounding areas: Parow, Belhar and Elsies River
