Our client is seeking an experienced Cost & Management Accountant / Cost Controller to join the Uitenhage team
- Monitor system prices for raw materials and components
- Constantly monitor material price changes and highlight where changes could cause problems in achieving targets
- Update standard costing for inventory
- Perform activity-based costing against the allocation of overheads
- Monitor and control overhead costs & spend against budget
- Review & monitor prices variances
- Prepare monthly reports and KPIs on related variances, specifically inventory
- Review and allocate cost centres for all purchases and staff costs
- Prepare and roll out budgets
- Monitor performance against budget and RFQs for all cost elements
- Assist with the preparation of RFQs focusing on raw materials, labour and machine related costs.
- Assist with month end journals, accruals & management reporting pack
- Maintain MHE and lease Schedules
- Maintain preferred supplier list
- Review invoices from suppliers and compare to agreed contractual rates
- Review creditors reconciliations & creditors queries (Monthly)
- Develop work flow processes and requests on Prisma
Requirements- Grade 12
- B.Com Accounting
- Minimum 3 5 years experience, preferably gained in the automotive industry
- Advanced computer literacy
- ERP experience (Syspro preferred)
- Knowledge of IFRS, auditing and control principles
