- Successfully complete all theoretical learning, practical training and skills assessments

- Grade 12/ Matric with N3 level mathematics and physical science or FLT(Foundational Learning Certificate)
- N2 or higher: Maths, Science, Trade Theory and Technical Drawings
- NCV4: Maths, Physical Science, Industrial Science, Diesel Trade Theory, Technical Drawings and /OR Electrical Trade Theory.
- Valid Driver's Licence Code B (to be obtained before trade test)
- Basic analytical ability
- Basic technical /mechanical reasoning

- Spatial visualization
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
