Marketing Communications Specialist

Role Overview:

As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in executing marketing communications plans for the Anglophone Africa Services Business and Channel Business. Your primary focus will be on engaging B2B clients, including system integrators, distributors, panel builders, and electricians in the Southern Africa region. Additionally, you will champion the mySchneider customer online portal, ensuring its maintenance, marketing, training, and support. This role requires a strong attention to detail, as you will be responsible for maintaining data accuracy and optimizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.

Responsibilities:

Services Marketing:
  • Elevate the importance and visibility of the Services Business as a strategic growth avenue for Schneider Electric.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance collaboration and visibility of the Services Business within the organization.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to promote Schneider Electric's services to B2B clients
  • Create compelling content and collateral to support the promotion of services offered by Schneider Electric
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing efforts for the Services Business and implement strategies to increase its visibility and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to integrate services marketing into overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Channel Marketing:
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to engage B2B clients.
  • Create compelling content and collateral to support channel partners in promoting our products and services.
  • Develop and communicate newsletters to channel partners, providing updates on new products, promotions, and industry insights.
  • Lead the adoption and engagement of Schneider Electric Exchange platform, a dynamic workspace for experts and innovators.
  • Develop an adoption and engagement plan for the Schneider Electric Exchange platform, targeting system integrators, technology partners, and end users.
  • Support in the preparation of internal events, such as sales kick-off events, to ensure effective communication of marketing initiatives and strategies.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of external events, such as partner conferences or partner roadshows, to drive engagement and foster relationships.
  • Learn and utilize the sales and marketing automation tool (SMA) built on Marketo technology.
  • Develop campaigns in Marketo to effectively target and engage the desired audience.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives and generate leads
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Lead and coordinate physical and virtual events from start to finish
Customer Care Center (CCC) and Customer Satisfaction and Quality (CSQ):
  • Act as the point of contact for the CCC and CSQ teams.
  • Engage with the CCC to facilitate all interactions starting from mySchneider, ensuring a strong interface between the Marketing Specialist and the CCC.
  • Contact customers to address complaints specifically related to mySchneider and work towards a resolution.
  • Create FAQs where necessary and publish them on the mySchneider platform.
  • Support in drafting notices, preparing Electronic Digital Mailers (EDM), and creating notifications on mySchneider for customer communications.
  • Support events and internal communications initiated by the CCC or CSQ teams.
mySchneider Level 1 Support:
  • Serve as the escalation owner for user concerns and issues on the mySchneider platform.
  • Provide first-level support to mySchneider users in the Southern Africa region.
  • Address user queries, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure a positive user experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Proactively gather user feedback and suggest improvements to enhance the mySchneider platform.
  • Contact detractors within 48 hours, addressing their concerns and working towards a resolution.
  • Implement corrective measures based on user feedback and take necessary actions to improve the mySchneider platform.
  • Ensure timely closure of cases while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously monitor and track user feedback trends to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
Salesforce CRM Database Management:
  • Maintain and update the Salesforce database, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and cleanliness.
  • Perform regular data cleansing and deduplication activities to improve data quality.
  • Assist in data segmentation and targeting for marketing campaigns.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights for decision-making and strategy development.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work closely with product managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to align marketing activities with business goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and channel marketing.
Qualifications

Qualifications/ Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
  • Experience or knowledge of channel marketing, B2B marketing, or sales enablement would be a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms would be a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive communication on the status of projects, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Comfortable with a high frequency of change and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
  • Critical thinking with smart prioritization to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to experiment and take initiative without waiting for permission, fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Strong ability to transform high-level vision or guidance into actionable daily tasks and deliverables.
