Summary
MEDIC24 is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the judicious and effective use of energy to minimize cost and enhance competitive position. This position includes all spheres of management including budget control, human resource management, legal compliance etc.
Minimum Requirements
• BEng/BTech Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• More than 1 year operations experience
• At least 1 years’ water industry experience
• GCC Factories Certificate is an added advantage
• Management qualification is an added advantage
• ECSA registration is an added advantage
Primary Duties
• Purchase energy at the lowest cost
• Ensure that energy is utilize at the highest efficiency
• Prevent wastage of energy
• Monitoring of operational performance
• Compile sales and energy budget
• Implementing and maintaining programs to support above
Knowledge
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, pipelines, motors, switchgear, protection system and transformers
• Condition monitoring of critical equipment
• Project management principles (PMBOK)
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations in water industry
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations in energy industry
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Leaks detection
• Trends/failure analysis
